Macey

Tagaytay, Philippines — Calvary Chapel Tagaytay City

Macey grew up in a church-going family, but she didn’t develop a deep relationship with Jesus or a desire to know His Word until she fully surrendered her life to Christ at 18. Her hunger to grow spiritually and seek God’s direction led her to attend Calvary Bible Institute in 2021, where she first learned about the unreached people groups in the 10/40 Window. Through Scripture and exposure to global needs, she sensed God calling her to serve Him overseas in some capacity. In the summer of 2022, God opened the door for her to spend six weeks in Mexico with the Calvary School of Missions, where she received foundational training in long-term cross-cultural ministry and church planting. That summer was life-changing as God broadened her view of the world, deepened her heart for the lost, and confirmed her call to long-term missions.

Macey continued her training through Saving Grace World Missions from 2022 onward, studying Scripture, learning to teach God’s Word, engaging in evangelism and discipleship both locally and globally, completing field security training, and taking cultural classes for unreached contexts. She returned to the Calvary School of Missions twice: first in 2023 as a Children’s Ministry Outreach Coordinator and again in 2024 as the accountant, gaining hands-on leadership and cross-cultural ministry experience. Her preparation also included vision trips and extended short-term missions as she spent five months overseas from November 2023 to March 2024, including three months in South Asia assisting a missionary family through church ministry, women’s discipleship, youth events, and teaching English. She also did ministry throughout Japan, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East serving in churches, local communities, and continuing to seek the Lord’s direction for where she might serve full-time. She then returned to South Asia from October 2024 to January 2025 to continue serving with the same ministries. Through both the joyful moments and the challenges, the Lord taught her invaluable lessons. She is deeply grateful for all He did in that time and for the ways He has shaped her for His glory alone.

Throughout 2026, Macey is living in the Philippines with a small team formed during her Calvary Missions Training. They are partnering with Calvary Chapel Tagaytay City and its ministries. Their primary roles are serving as administrative assistants, outreach coordinators, and discipleship leaders at Calvary Bible Institute Luzon, a 10-month Bible college. Additionally, they are helping launch and lead a four-week Calvary School of Missions, similar to the one in Mexico. Their vision is to equip Asian believers to minister and plant churches among the unreached.

It has been incredibly encouraging to see the Lord bring all of this together, and Macey is grateful to be part of the work God is doing in this part of the world. Thank you for partnering with her and the ministry in the Philippines through your prayers and financial support.

“And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation,”

Romans 15:20

Praise Reports:

  • Praise God for leading me and confirming the calling on my life to serve Him among the unreached.

  • For all the training and overseas ministry I’ve had the blessing of experiencing. There are so many physical and spiritual needs in our world, but it’s encouraging to remember that God is at work.

  • I’m so grateful God opened the door to serve Him in the Philippines and for providing a solid team. We look forward to all He will do through CC Tagaytay City, CBI Luzon, CSOM Asia!

  • For every leader and student He has brought together for the work in Southeast Asia! We know He is moving and I praise Him for raising up the next generation who will spread the Gospel and make disciples of all nations.

Prayer Requests:

  • For unity, grace, strength, wisdom, and protection over my team, the leaders, students, and everyone involved in the ministries throughout the Tagaytay area.

  • The Philippines has been facing many natural disasters including intense storms, earthquakes, typhoons, and volcanic eruptions. Please pray for all those affected by these tragedies and for God’s comfort and hope to shine through these hard times.

  • For favor in language learning and retention, in order to connect with more people in the Philippines.

  • That I would continue to abide deeply in Christ, stay sensitive to His voice, and walk in humility, joy, and dependence on Him each day.

  • Pray that the Lord would lead more to engage in the Great Commission whether through sending/supporting or going, this is a call for all believers!
