Fill Me Up, Pour Me Out
Dear Church Family,
This week, as I began moving my library from my office to our new church building, it suddenly dawned on me, this is really happening! I have so many wonderful memories of our time here in San Juan Capistrano and stand in awe, rejoicing in all the Lord has done in this building. There have been more miracles than I can count. As wonderful as it’s been, I am ready to move and excited to see what’s next for us as a church.
The prophet Jeremiah spoke concerning the people of Moab, and he said, “Moab has been at ease from his youth; He has settled on his dregs, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel,” (48:11). The point the prophet made had to do with Moab unwilling to change and becoming stagnant. Our willingness to embrace change, and be poured from one vessel to another, is integral to our spiritual development. As a church, the last thing we want is for a routine to become a rut, which turns to ruin.
My prayer is for the Lord to continue to fill me up and pour me out. It’s with great expectation in the Lord that I embrace this new season. It’s an adventure, and I’m glad to be traveling with you.
In Christ Alone,
Pastor John Randall
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. –2 Corinthians 3:18
