You are the light of the world

Dear Church Family,

One thing we’ve learned this past year about church is that we are not a building but a people. It’s been amazing to gather as a church family in public places where the world can observe God’s people worshipping Him.

This weekend, I want to personally invite you for yet another wonderful opportunity to show the light of Jesus to this world. Sunday evening, we plan to gather at the San Clemente Pier near the watchtower for a time of worship. I love to see the responses of those walking by, as they meet an army gathered to worship their creator. Some will see us worshipping and may be reminded of a time when they used to attend church, and this could inspire them to return. The countless nonbelievers who observe us will most likely be curious, even if they don’t understand our gathering. Families who bring their children get to teach them what it’s like to worship in the open without fear.

My prayer is for our church to turn out in large number to make a statement for Jesus. Not long ago, we were on lockdown and could not gather at all. Church, can I encourage you to be bold and brave? Please don’t miss this in person gathering that won’t be livestreamed.

Hope to see you there!

Your Pastor,

John Randall
