Keep fighting the good fight of faith

Dear Church Family,

Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the East Coast Pastors Conference held at Sandy Cove Retreat Center on the Chesapeake Bay. It’s a beautiful setting to refresh and recharge. For two days with 600 other men serving in ministry, we worshipped, prayed, and studied God’s Word. It was such a blessing to gather with so many of my fellow soldiers after two years of not seeing them in person. We were all a little beaten up from last year’s events but still fighting the good fight.

It reminded me of the passage in the book of Judges, where Gideon’s troops had been fighting in the battle and were “exhausted but still in pursuit” (Judges 8:4). I have observed battles in Scripture and in life. One battle prepares you for the next, but one day the battle will be over, and we will be in the presence of the Lord, where we will exchange our weapons of spiritual warfare for a crown of glory.

Church, keep fighting the good fight of faith!

Your Pastor,

John Randall

"Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses." -1 Timothy 6:12
