Don’t be complacent

Dear Church Family,

The Bible says, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive” (Genesis 50:20).

This week we received wonderful news that COVID-19 limitations on churches and houses of worship in California have been formally halted by a California district court. A permanent injunction was placed upon the current Governor Newsom that states the following: "It is hereby ORDERED that Defendant, Gavin Newsom, in his official capacity as Governor of the State of California, all State officers, agents, employees, and all other persons in active concert or participation with him, are hereby permanently enjoined state-wide from issuing or enforcing regulations issued in connection with the COVID-19 State of Emergency declared on March 4, 2020.”

This is a complete reversal of the last discriminatory restrictions against churches in California. This ruling will also serve as a precedent for future cases against churches. As wonderful as this victory is, we cannot let up now. Church, we cannot go back to a state of complacency concerning our walk with Jesus. I am praying for an even greater outpouring of God’s Holy Spirit in the days to come. I want all that Jesus has for us as a church. Lord, continue to bring revival!

Your Pastor,

John Randall
