THE KINDNESS OF CHRIST

Dear Church Family,

In the book of Galatians, the Apostle Paul lists the fruits of the Spirit for us. The fruits of the Spirit are characteristics grown in the life of the believer who walks closely with Jesus, and the fifth characteristic is kindness.

Kindness is tender concern for others, which can move us into action. According to Romans 2:4, the Lord’s kindness toward us leads to repentance. The psalmist says the Lord’s lovingkindness is better than life (Psalm 63:3). Kindness is caring for others even when they may not care for us.

In a world that seems to be growing increasingly cold, we, as Christians, must be sure to put on the kindness of Christ.
