Keep Looking Up

Dear Church Family,
 
This week, we saw some very disturbing events take place in our nation’s Capitol. For many of us, the outcome of these events has caused concern and discouragement. This week, the Lord reminded me He never promised that the gates of hell would not prevail against governments, but He did promise the gates of hell would not prevail against the church.
 
In moments such as this, we must return to the foundation of our lives, which is Jesus Christ. Kingdoms will rise and fall. Leaders will be voted in and voted out. Yet, our God is faithful and constant. He is in control of all things. His Word endures forever, and He is working out His predetermined perfect plan for all things.
 
Things may look dark and could grow darker, but in darkness the light shines brightest. Keep looking up; Jesus is coming soon.
