Meet our October CSOC Missionary of the Month, Luis Sánchez.
Antigua, Guatemala — Calvary Chapel Antigua
Pastor Luis was born in Guatemala in 1978, but moved with his family to Colombia shortly after. This is where he grew up since his parents served as missionaries there. Luis got married to his wife, Karol, in 2004 and started pastoring Calvary Chapel Cali in Colombia the next year. In 2013, the Lord brought them and their 2 sons to Guatemala. They first started the Calvary Bible Institute, and then planted a church. He has been pastoring Calvary Chapel Antigua since December 2013.
Praise Reports:
A year and 3 months ago, Luis went through open heart surgery and the Lord provided miraculously for everything. His recovery has been great!
Luis and Karol celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary last December, praise God.
Prayer Requests:
Pray for their oldest son Martin. He’s 18 years old, serving the Lord, and praying for next steps of faith in his life.
Pray for their youngest son, Matias, as he finishes 9th grade.
Pray for the new semester of the Bible Institute as they have 9 students from 3 different countries.
Pray for the CCA Central American Pastors’ Conference they’re hosting next October.
