Called to Forgive

“We owed an insurmountable debt to God. Nothing we could do could ever pay that back. Nothing we could do could ever even touch what we owe. Jesus paid the debt that He did not owe. It was our’s. He forgave us of everything. Everything you’ve ever done. Everything that you’re ashamed of. That you want no one to know about. He paid the debt. He forgave us - wiped us clean through the blood of Jesus. We’ve been forgiven, the Bible says. I’ve been forgiven a debt. So have you. The emphasis here is that it is unreasonable and it is inconsistent to not forgive when we have been forgiven what we could never pat back. We who have been permanently forgiven by God for our immeasurable sins, we now are called upon to forgive.”
