Behold the King

This Christmas Eve, we gathered together as a church family to worship our King and to celebrate our Savior’s birth. We had a special performance from our Children’s Ministry choir and heard a wonderful message from Pastor John about the two trees we see every Christmas season.

At this time of year, many people have traditions that they go through and a lot of us we have a tree that we decorate and put presents under it. But tonight, I want to talk to you about a different tree. It’s not a tree with lights on it, but it’s a tree where the Light of the World was placed on it. It’s not a tree with a star at the top, but it’s a tree where the one who is referred to as The Bright and Morning Star was placed upon it. I want to talk to you about the tree of Calvary and the unique thing about this tree. The presents that you’ll find under it you can’t find tomorrow morning under your tree at home. These can’t be purchased. You can’t order these. They don’t show up at your door. But, there was a price that was paid to secure these gifts that are made available to you. — Pastor John Randall, Behold the King

These gifts that are made available to us through the tree of Calvary are love, forgiveness, peace, joy, hope, life, and our Savior, Jesus Christ, in whom we find all of these other gifts.
