Celebrate His Birth
Dear Church Family,
Recently, while reflecting on the Christmas story, considering how the wise men sought and found the newborn king, I thought about the inconvenience of traveling such a great distance. Also, these men faced some risk as government rulers had planned a hidden, destructive agenda for the baby born in Bethlehem. Perhaps, staying at home would have been safer and more suitable. However, these wise men determined to find the child to celebrate His birth and worship Him, regardless of any obstacles. When a sign in the form of a star beckoned them to journey, nothing was going to stand in their way.
How will you celebrate this Christmas? Will you press through the obstacles, mandates, and challenges currently underway? I encourage you to consider the wise men and gather with God’s people this Christmas to worship Christ the Lord.
I truly believe this Christmas will be unlike those in the past, and that a special blessing is in store for those who will embrace this moment in the history of the church.
Your Pastor,
John Randall
Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him’ (Matthew 2:1-2).
